Books privacy policy
Cernori Books is provided by MOODOOS LLC. Last updated: October 9, 2026.
Cernori Books keeps your business records under your control. We do not operate a server that stores your clients, invoices, payments, expenses, receipt images, business cards or mileage logs. The app includes no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDK.
Records on your device
Business details, contacts, projects, quotes, invoices, payment and refund entries, expenses, mileage, settings and unfinished entries are saved on your device. Original files you attach remain associated with their records. The app does not connect to a bank or automatically retrieve transactions.
Receipt and business-card recognition
Recognition uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. Images and PDFs are processed on your device. Recognition results can be inaccurate: review them against the original before confirming an expense or contact. Camera access is used when you choose to capture a receipt, card or logo. Selected photos and files are accessed through Apple's pickers.
Contacts and reminders
You choose individual address-book contacts to import. Books does not scan or upload your entire address book. Information you choose to save becomes a Books contact and is included if you later choose private iCloud sync or export. Optional notifications provide reminders you request. You can change camera, contact and notification permissions in your device's Settings.
Optional iCloud sync
Sync is off by default. Before the first transfer, Books explains the destination, records and attachments involved and asks you to confirm. When you choose to sync, your saved records and original attachments are transferred to a private CloudKit database in your own Apple account. Unfinished form input stays on the device. This storage counts toward your iCloud storage quota. MOODOOS LLC cannot read your private business records through the developer console. Apple operates iCloud under its own privacy terms; applicable terms can depend on your region. Sync requires an available Apple account and a connection; local records remain available offline. A change of iCloud account pauses sync until you review the destination account.
Turning off sync stops automatic transfers and does not erase existing local or iCloud records. Keep a complete backup before removing the app or its iCloud data. You control copies you export, and you can manage Books' iCloud storage in your Apple account's storage settings. Because we do not hold a server copy of your records, support cannot retrieve or erase your private iCloud files for you.
Subscriptions
Apple processes subscription purchases. We do not receive your payment card or bank details. The app uses StoreKit to verify subscription status, including expiration and revocation, so it can apply access correctly. Apple controls billing, introductory-offer eligibility, cancellation and refund requests.
Export and sharing
You choose when and where to export or share documents, CSV files, original attachments and backups. These files may contain private business and contact information. Your chosen recipient or storage provider handles the exported copy under their own policies. Existing records and export remain accessible after subscription access ends.
Support and changes
If you choose to contact support, we receive the information you include in that message. Please send only the information needed to explain your issue. Do not send financial records or original receipts unless necessary and intentionally chosen.
Contact support@cernori.com for support or privacy questions. This address is hosted in Google Workspace. We use messages to handle your request and retain them only as needed to respond and meet applicable obligations. We will update this policy if the app's data practices change.
