Support for Cernori Books 1.0, provided by MOODOOS LLC. Updated October 9, 2026.

Cernori Books connects quotes, invoices, actual payments, expenses, original receipts, contacts, projects and mileage for independent professionals.

Start your workspace

Enter your business or personal name and choose your default currency. You can add your logo, billing address, payment instructions and common services later. If subscription access is required, choose an Apple subscription. Eligible new subscribers can confirm a two-week free trial through Apple. Your entered setup details are kept when you close the subscription screen.

Record a partial payment

Open the invoice and choose Record payment. Enter the amount actually received, its date and reference. A $500 invoice with a $200 payment shows $200 received and $300 waiting for payment. Record a refund as its own event. Cancelling an invoice retains its payment history.

Review a receipt or card

Import an image or PDF, or use the camera. Compare recognized details with the original and correct uncertain fields. Unreviewed expenses are excluded from spending. A possible duplicate needs your review; it is not silently discarded. You can enter expenses and contacts manually.

Keep currencies separate

Totals are presented independently for each currency. Cernori Books does not invent exchange rates or combine unlike currencies into a single cash total.

Export and backup

Open More → Backup & sync. Make a complete backup including original attachments. Restore previews and validates incoming records and files; it does not overwrite existing records. Reports can export CSV and scoped accountant packages. Subscription expiry preserves viewing, search, original files and export, including full backup and restore.

Subscription help

Monthly and annual subscriptions provide the same editing features. Invoice count and on-device recognition have no monthly usage cap. File size and page limits are shown where they apply. New records, edits, recognition and new payment or refund entries require active access after the trial ends. The Apple purchase screen shows the localized price, billing period and eligible introductory offer. Manage or cancel renewal in the app's Subscription screen or your Apple account's subscription settings. Apple handles refund requests.

Optional iCloud sync

Open More → Backup & sync to sync once or enable automatic sync. Sync starts only after you confirm the first transfer. It uses the private database in your current Apple account and counts toward your iCloud storage quota. Keep a complete backup before transferring records to another device. If you change Apple accounts, Books pauses and asks you to review the new destination. Turning off automatic sync does not delete copies already stored locally or in iCloud.

If sync cannot complete, keep your local records and check your connection, Apple account and available iCloud storage. Resolve reported financial or attachment conflicts before trying again; do not erase your local data to fix a sync error.

Language and appearance

Open Settings to choose English, 简体中文 or System, and System, Light or Dark appearance. Choices are saved on your device.
