How can we help?
Cernori Hours Tracker support.
Getting started
How do I record a shift?
On Home, choose a job and tap Clock In. Use Take Break and End Break as needed, then Clock Out to save. To record a past shift, tap Add Shift.
For your first job, enter its name and hourly rate. Set the break type to paid or unpaid. Your pay period and overtime rules can be added later in the job’s Advanced settings; until you confirm overtime rules, pay is estimated at the ordinary rate.
Can I correct a shift?
Yes. In Records, choose the job and date, open the shift, then choose Edit. Review its start and end times, breaks, and any extra pay before saving. A day with several shifts lists each one separately.
If you change records used in an earlier paycheck comparison, review the updated comparison rather than treating the old saved result as current.
Records & pay
Why is my pay an estimate?
Pay is calculated before taxes, using your saved shifts, effective pay rates, paid and unpaid breaks, extra earnings, and the overtime rules you enter. Scheduled and ongoing shifts are not included in saved totals.
If a total looks wrong, first check marked time entries, then the job’s rate, time zone, date range, and overtime settings. Cernori does not determine which employment rules apply to you and does not calculate a guaranteed take-home amount.
How do I check a paycheck?
Tap Check Paycheck on Home or in Records. Confirm the job and exact pay-period dates, then enter the hours and gross pay before taxes from your pay stub. Compare the breakdown and review any differences.
A difference means the entries do not match. It does not by itself establish underpayment or a legal entitlement. Check the underlying shifts, breaks, rates, and extra earnings before drawing conclusions.
The first saved comparison’s job and complete date range remain free to recheck and export as a complete report. Comparisons for other date ranges require Pro.
Data & privacy
How do I back up my records?
Open Settings → Backup & Restore, create a complete backup, and save it using Files. Check that the file was actually saved before deleting the app or changing devices. Canceling the file picker is not a saved backup.
To restore, select a complete Cernori backup and review the import before confirming. CSV and PDF exports are readable reports, not restorable backups. Backups contain work and pay information, so choose a location you trust.
Does Cernori sync between devices?
No. Cernori stores work records on each device; it does not provide automatic iCloud or account-based synchronization. You can transfer a complete backup through Files.
Restoring a subscription restores access to Pro, not your work records. Apple device backups may contain app data depending on your system settings. Read about your data and backups.
Cernori Pro
How do I restore a purchase?
Use the Apple Account that made the purchase. In the app, open Settings → Cernori Pro → Restore Purchases. Connect to the internet and allow Apple to check the subscription.
If Pro is not restored, check that the subscription is active in Apple’s subscription settings. Do not buy it again just to troubleshoot. Your work records remain on your device.
How do I cancel a subscription?
In the app, use Cernori Pro → Manage Subscription. You can also open your device’s Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions and choose Cernori.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. To avoid a trial renewing, Apple advises canceling at least 24 hours before it ends. See Apple’s cancellation instructions.
When Pro ends, choose one job for new free recordings. Existing jobs and history are not deleted; you can still view and correct records, use basic CSV export, and back up your data. An ongoing shift can still be finished.
Request a refund through Apple. Eligibility is determined by Apple and applicable rules; a refund is not guaranteed.
